Community Garden Work Party

During our community design process, we heard you loud and clear:

🖐️ “I take care of myself by putting my hands in the earth.”

🌱 “I want to learn about medicinal plants and how to use them for healing.”

💞 “I’m still feeling isolated after the pandemic—I need ways to connect again.”

If any of this sounds familiar—or if you're just craving some fresh air, healing herbs, and good community vibes—join us for a Therapeutic Gardening Community Work Party!

Sunday, June 1st at 10AM
The Healing House (3410 Claremont Ave S Seattle, WA 98144)

With the wisdom and guidance of Ms. Rita Howard, certified herbalist, therapeutic garden designer, and beloved community garden teacher.

Together, we’ll plant garden beds, get the irrigation system flowing, prune trees and shrubs, nourish the soil, transplant medicinal plants, and dream up the future of the Healing House garden. All skill levels and physical abilities/disabilities welcome.

We’ll have healthy snacks and soothing herbal tea to keep us nourished.

Please register at bit.ly/june1garden. Thank you!

If you have any questions, please contact us at events@tubmanhealth.org.
